As Bintan’s only sanctuary for endangered Indonesian species, many of the animals and birds here have been rescued from the illegal pet trade and exotic meat markets, while others arrived sick or injured and were rehabilitated on-site. Unable to survive in the wild, they now receive long-term, high-quality care. Safari Lagoi is home to a range of fascinating animals, including Sumatran Tigers, Sun Bears, Komodo Dragons, Estuarine Crocodiles, Orangutans, and Sumatran Elephants. Visitors can also see rare birds like lories, eagles, and vultures in the bird sanctuary.
